Italiatours è un progetto promosso dall’associazione Geoprogress (www.geoprogress.eu), a non-profit organization founded by a university professors and researchers with the aim to contribute to building a better world: the realization in every aspect of a "sustainable" development, namely alternative to the current.
The project is part of a program of initiatives for the growth of a more responsible tourism. This is mostly for activities that Geoprogress inherited from University Consortium "Re-Tour", Interregional network for the advancement of tourism, consists of some structures of Italian universities (Catania, Naples "Federico II", Rome "La Sapienza", Venice "Ca 'Foscari" and Eastern Piedmont): in fact several researchers of this consortium are among the founding members of Geoprogress and the former director of Retour is currently the president of the new Association .
Italiatours è realizzato con la collaborazione dell’agenzia di viaggi Supernova S.r.l. which has undertaken the technical direction and the sale of package constructed based on the routes proposed and illustrated by this organization. Il progetto Italiatours – nato con il marcho Expotours allo scopo di organizzare un’offerta turistica per l’Expo 2015 ed in seguito proseguito e con altre forme e contenuti, sotto il nuovo marchio Italia-tours – è un’iniziativa per lo sviluppo dell’incoming turistico italiano con i seguenti obiettivi:
1) organizzare un’offerta turistica coordinata con prodotti che siano sotto ogni aspetto “sostenibili” , its responsible tourism consistent with the mission of Geoprogress.;
