L’Italy Tour Lo9 – Alla scoperta di Pavia e Vigevano – propone la visita di due città vicine a Milano e delle loro campagne. Entrambe le città – e soprattutto Pavia, la maggiore ed anche storicamente più importante, verranno considerate nella loro valenza storica artistica e culturale, emphasis being placed on the Lombard period, the kingdom of Italy and the Visconti-Sforza. Importanti sono in questa subregione, il Pavese, le risorse agricole e enogastronomiche. Nella pianura si possono ammirare grandi cascine, soprattutto da riso; mentre ’Oltrepò Pavese rappresenta un’importante risorsa enogastronomica, between the main specialties include fried frogs, served in tomato sauce or accompanied by risotto, the goose salami, and its white wines (Riesling and Cortese) and red (Barbera and Bonarda).

1Day.- Early morning departure, with private transport, Pavia, (journey time from Milan: 30/45 minutes). Hotel accommodation. Meeting with the guide, from the start of the tour Basilica San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro, continues east the Visconti Castle and with the 'University, that is located not far away stands. Continues with a view to Santa Maria del Carmine, in the square where lunch is provided with a menu Visconti. In the afternoon city tour continues with the Broletto, the Cathedral, the Basilicas of San Teodoro and San Michele Maggiore. Not far from San Michele you can admire the Covered Bridge, evocative symbol of Pavia. Passing on the other side is Borgo Ticino, at the center of the village stands the Parish of Santa Maria in Betlem. Walk along the river Ticino and return to hotel. Free dinner. Overnight stay.

2Day – After breakfast, departure, with private transport, to the famous complex of Chartreuse. The view over the Certosa departure by bus to the city of Vigevano where you will have lunch in a typical restaurant in the old town. The view of the city includes the Visconti Castle- Sforzesco, the Torre del Bramante and Piazza Ducale. All 18:00 departure to Milan.
